GARDEN CITY, SC - Are you looking for a unique way to celebrate the 4th of July this year? Bring your golf cart and head to Garden City to celebrate Independence Day with you family.

The parade has been going on for several years with hundreds attending and last year about 250 carts marched through Garden City.

Residents are welcomed to participate or just watch. Those participating are encouraged to patriotically decorate their golf cart.

The parade will begin to line up at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 4 and the parade is expected to begin at 3 p.m.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The 11th annual John Heiert/Jean Wheeler Memorial Golf Tournament, benefiting Mercy Care, was held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at River Oaks Golf Club in Myrtle Beach.

The annual golf tournament, which began in 2001, has raised nearly $132,000.00 since its inception for a very special program of the Grand Strand’s non-profit, hometown hospice.  This year, over $10,000.00 was raised.
