It doesn't have to be 4th of July for you to enjoy fireworks. Myrtle Beach has various spectacular fireworks shows throughout the year at these locations:

Sunday, July 1, Following the Pelicans Game – Pelicans Ballpark

Tuesday, July 3, 10:00 p.m. – Broadway at the Beach

Tuesday, July 3, Following the Pelicans Game – Pelicans Ballpark

Wednesday, July 4, 10:00 p.m. – Broadway at the Beach

Murrells Inlet 29th Annual July 4th Boat Parade

MURRELLS INLET, SC - The 29th Annual July 4th Boat Parade kicks off at 9am from Garden City Point. This year's parade theme is "Red, White & View! Inlet-style Tried and True." Don't miss this annual Inlet patriotic tradition!

The parade will head over to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk and then follow the Murrells Inlet shoreline down to the Hot Fish Club. Best public viewing points are the Marshwalk, Belin Methodist Church, Nance's Restaurant and the Hot Fish Club.

Book launch for "Images of America Murrells Inlet" to take place July 5th

Steve Strickland will be signing and selling the Images of America Murrells Inlet books at the Book Launch on July 5th. Steve will also be outside Drunken Jack's Restaurant on July 4th during the boat parade selling the books. Cost is $23 per book or five for $100. Payment with cash, check or credit card are acceptable. A portion of proceeds from the book sales will be reserved for historical placards for the Inlet.

3rd Annual Independence Day 8K/5K/1 Mile Run 2012

The 3rd Annual Independence Day 8K, 5K and 1 Mile run will take place Wednesday, July 4 at 7 a.m. this year.

Registration for 8K race will be from June 23 to July 1 for $35. If you're unable to register by July 1st you can register on-site on July 3rd or 4th for $40.

The 1 Mile run registrations will be from June 23 to July 1 for $17. If you haven’t registered by July1st you can also register on-site July 3 to 4 for $20.

Registration and packet pick up will be at Piggle Wiggly at the Market Common on July 3rd from 4 p.m.
