Spaulding Heights Community Celebrates its 50th year!

LOCATION: Florence, SC

Date: August 1, 2012

The Spaulding Heights Community was created in 1962. The community was the vision of Asa Spaulding, President of North Carolina Mutual and Jimmy Rainwater, Florence, SC. The two developed the first exclusive African American subdivision in North Florence. Spaulding was the first "Brick" community in Florence, for African Americans.

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The 2nd Annual New Beginnings Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt will be held on Saturday, September 22nd from 1:00-3:00 PM to benefit New Beginnings Monthly Food Distribution. The organization is now in its second year serving all of Horry and Georgetown Counties. Participants are needed to fill the event.

McLeod Seacoast to debut new medical helicopter during summer safety event

On Saturday, July 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., McLeod Seacoast will host McLeod Air Reach Debut and Summer Safety to introduce the new McLeod Air Reach medical air transport helicopter.  The ribbon-cutting ceremony for McLeod Air Reach will begin at 11 a.m.

In addition, there will be numerous hands-on health and safety events for all ages throughout the day.  A sampling of the day’s activities includes tours of McLeod Seacoast, injury screenings, water and fire safety, children’s fingerprint kits, and plenty of giveaways.
